What is DCP and what DCP services does LI TRUST provide?
DCP (Digital Cinema Package) is the standard format for digital cinema projection. LI TRUST delivers 2K/4K/3D/IMAX DCP mastering, packaging, encryption, global KDM distribution, DCP delivery/transfer, IMF packaging, embedded/external multilingual subtitles, and Blu-ray-to-DCP — 2,000+ films across 50+ countries.
Which languages does LI TRUST support for subtitle translation?
Our translators cover 40+ languages — Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Arabic and more — for features, shorts and scripts, with cultural localization and native review. We support official screening subtitles for A-list festivals such as Cannes, Berlin and Tokyo.
How does LI TRUST handle cross-border large file transfer?
We provide TB-scale high-speed transfer for masters, cross-border acceleration, MOV delivery, DCP transfer with integrity checks, overseas downloads, and FTP/HTTP/Aspera acceleration — often 10x faster across continents.
Which notable clients has LI TRUST served?
Clients include the China Film Archive and China Film Museum, A-list festivals (Cannes, Berlin, Busan, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai), and major platforms such as CCTV, Tencent Video and iQiyi — with 2,000+ post-production deliveries.
Have you worked on animation films?
Yes. We have provided DCP mastering, subtitle localization and/or cross-border transfer for multiple animation and animation-related titles, including Chinese and international projects. See related portfolio cases below.
Soft vs hard subtitles — which do cinema DCPs use?
Hard subs are burned into picture; soft/track subs can be switched by language. Theatrical DCPs use standards-compliant subtitle tracks. We deliver embedded, external or burned-in options per festival/distributor specs.
How is a DCP different from a ProRes/H.264 file?
Consumer/edit files are for post or online; DCP is the digital-cinema package (picture, sound, subs, encryption/KDM) validated by theatre servers. Most A-list festivals and cinemas require compliant DCP for official screenings.
How is subtitle translation usually priced?
Typically by runtime (minutes) plus language difficulty, native review, spotting/authoring and rush fees. Multi-language packs available — send runtime, languages and deadline for a line-item quote.
How early before a festival deadline should the final DCP be ready?
Leave buffer for QC, revisions and transfer: often several working days to two weeks; A-list or encrypted runs also need KDM setup and on-site backups.
Can you turn Blu-ray or other digital sources into a DCP — and convert DCP to ProRes/H.265?
Yes. We support Blu-ray/digital-source to DCP and DCP to digital masters (ProRes/H.265) for cinema, censorship submission, marketing and re-release workflows.
How do DCP encryption and global KDM key distribution work?
We provide DCP encryption/decryption and worldwide KDM delivery, keyed by theatre, window and region, with secure transfer for festivals and international runs.
Beyond translation, do you offer encoding, compliance review and promo materials?
Yes — bilingual/multilingual subtitling with native review, hard/soft subtitles, content compliance review for submissions, international trailers and promo assets, plus subtitle projector rental and on-site support.
Do you support Aspera/FTP and integrity checks for cross-border transfer?
Yes. We accelerate FTP/HTTP/Aspera for TB-scale masters and overseas downloads, with DCP integrity verification to reduce corruption risk.
Do you offer dubbing and audio post-production?
Yes — multilingual dubbing and mixing, Dolby E workflows, coordinated with subtitle and DCP pipelines for consistent international and domestic deliveries.
Can you scan film and perform 4K restoration?
Yes. We cover HDCAM/XDCAM/SR/D5 tape transfer, film scanning, film-to-digital conversion, and 2K/4K/8K restoration for archives, re-releases and festival digital exhibition.
Can you author DVD or Blu-ray masters?
Yes. We produce DVD/Blu-ray masters and can combine them with film scanning, restoration, audio post and subsequent DCP packaging.
Do you support international film festival screenings?
Yes. We provide long-term technical support for festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai — DCP compliance, multilingual subtitles, KDM delivery and rush transfers to reduce on-site risk.
Do you provide IMF packaging and delivery?
Yes. Alongside theatrical DCP, we deliver IMF packaging for streaming/international masters in parallel with cinema versions to reduce rework.
How long does DCP or subtitle delivery usually take?
Timelines depend on specs, language count and rush needs. After reviewing duration, formats and deadlines we provide a clear schedule; festival or cross-border rush lanes are available. Contact us with details for a quote and calendar.
