There Will Be Blood is extraordinarily dialogue-dense, steeped in late-19th-century American oil-industry terminology and Daniel Day-Lewis's distinctive performance rhythms. Before starting, the LI TRUST subtitle team spent two full days systematically cataloging the era's vocabulary around drilling, mineral rights, and trust companies, ensuring that terms like "drilling rig," "oil field," and "mineral rights transfer" read with both precision and period authenticity in the Chinese subtitles. The film's toughest challenge is the rhythm between long silences and sudden outbursts. Subtitle timecodes must lock perfectly to the actors' breathing—one frame too early or too late can shatter the tension Anderson so carefully built. We ran a four-round review: initial translation → terminology check → timecode fine-tuning → lip-sync verification, delivering in both SRT and SCC formats, with Simplified and Traditional Chinese versions to cover every distribution channel across mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
