The Sissi trilogy remains one of the most beloved royal romances in European film history. When the digitally restored edition was set for re-release in the Chinese market, LI TRUST was brought in to fully modernize the film's Chinese subtitles. The original Chinese subtitle track was produced in the 1980s, and its register had drifted out of step with contemporary viewing habits. LI TRUST's mandate went beyond translation—this was a genuine subtitle remaster. Established historical renderings such as "Sissi" were retained, all dialogue was re-expressed in modern written Chinese, and the film's complete timecode track was digitally refined to match the new frame-rate standard of the restoration. LI TRUST also prepared a proofread German-language subtitle version for European distributors to compare across versions, and the project was delivered as a complete multilingual subtitle package.
