Apollo 13—the story of an unplanned space emergency in 1970—is renowned for its highly authentic aerospace terminology, which has made it an acknowledged challenge in the subtitle translation field. When LI TRUST's subtitle team took on the Chinese subtitle re-versioning of this classic, they partnered with experts from aerospace science institutions to systematically review and standardize the film's extensive NASA terminology. Key terms including "fuel cells," "trajectory correction burn," "command module," and "lunar module" were aligned with authoritative Chinese science publications, ensuring the subtitles would withstand scrutiny from professional audiences. LI TRUST also fine-tuned the full timecode track to meet the sync requirements of the restored version's new audio track. The final deliverables comprised three subtitle packages—theatrical, digital platform, and educational—providing complete technical support for the Chinese re-release of this space classic.
