Two seemingly distant narratives—intangible cultural heritage and modern manufacturing—converge in the documentary *Boundless Realm*, where they engage in a cross-disciplinary dialogue through imagery. Focusing on traditional Chinese ceramic craftsmanship and contemporary automotive industrial design, this feature-length film presented a unique dual challenge for subtitle translation: accurately conveying the technical terminology of both ceramic craft and automotive engineering. Before the project began, LI TRUST systematically mapped the vocabulary of both domains, collaborating with technical advisors to establish standard translations for key terms. The English subtitles, also produced by LI TRUST for an international audience, adopted phrasing that is more accessible to Western viewers, effectively lowering the comprehension barrier for non-specialists. The final deliverables included bilingual Chinese-English subtitles, SRT and SCC format files, as well as a reviewed subtitle sample version for international festival submissions.
