After a brief stint working post-graduation, Du Leying (Jia Ling) retreats home and becomes a shut-in for ten years. She drifts aimlessly, avoids any meaningful contact with the outside world, and even her relationship with her family grows tense. Following a heated argument with her younger sister, Le Dan (Zhang Xiaofei), who has moved back home after a divorce, Leying decides to leave and takes a job as a waitress at a barbecue joint to scrape by. Love, family, life—everything seems to hit rock bottom. Then, by chance, she meets Hao Kun (Lei Jiayin), a down-and-out boxing coach. She supports his dreams as they both confront harsh realities.
