Factory worker Fang Liang returns to his hometown after losing his job, haunted by nightly dreams of his deceased father. Is his father aware of his return? Or is the son simply unable to let go of the regrets between them?

In his debut feature, director Fang Liang turns his lens on home and family, even casting his own relatives. The result is an unrepeatable, raw authenticity that blends with dreamlike illusion in the damp, rainy southern nights — blurring the line between reality and fantasy as the living and the dead reunite. Poetic, dreamlike, and imbued with a rare, almost spiritual ambiguity.
