Down-on-his-luck Hideyoshi (Katsunori Takahashi) heads to a cherry blossom tree, ready to end it all. He stumbles upon a runaway boy with a sharp mind, remembers a veteran's kidnapping tips, and decides to try his hand as an amateur kidnapper. But the boy's father turns out to be a yakuza boss — and the ransom scheme quickly spirals out of control.
